  Gucci
Gucci, one of the most recognized clothing brands in the world, was founded in 1906 by Guccio Gucci. It was ranked as one of the Top 100 Brands, also the top selling Italian brand in the world. Guccio Gucci started the brand as a family-owned leather saddlery shop. He began selling leather bags to horsemen in the 1920s and soon expanded to open a boutique in Rome. From the six children he had, four lead the company after his death in 1953. In the late 1970s, the company was on the verge of bankruptcy due to disagreements among the brothers. It eventually regained it success in the late 1980s.
